Job Title:    K-8 Instrumental & Vocal Teacher
Reports to: K-12 School Principal
Salary:       $43,000 - $50,632
Work year: 166 days
 
Job Summary:
          West Grand School District 1-Jt is looking for a passionate Instrumental and Vocal Teacher that can help students develop important life skills such as discipline, perseverance and creativity. A music teacher who can provide guidance on proper techniques, musical theory and performance skills, as well as inspire and motivate students to practice and improve their abilities.
           
Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Colorado Teacher License or be able to obtain one.
  • Appropriate endorsement for the assignment.
  • Preferred teaching experience.
  • Excellent oral and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
Essential Functions:
  • Create a classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Ability to communicate in ways students will understand.
  • Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
  • Strong communications, public relations and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates success in working collaboratively with other professional staff on instructional improvements issues.
  • Adapt instruction to meet the individual learning needs of all students.
  • Demonstrate success in teaching elementary/middle school students the basics of music and performing arts
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
